Regina Lulka, AMI, B.A.H, Med
Head of School
Regina holds a Master’s of Education (OISE UT) specializing in Teacher Development and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University, Liberal Studies with specialization in Education and Media Studies. She received Montessori training in Mexico and AMI (Association Montessori International) Training in Toronto. She brings more than twenty years experience working with and learning from children as a directress in Montessori schools.
In addition to being the Principal of the Montessori Jewish Day School, Regina is Professor and Field Supervisor for Montessori Early Childhood Education teacher candidates at Sheridan College, and is also consultant for Montessori schools and for CCMA (Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators).
Regina is Past Chair of the Board of Bannockburn School and Past President of the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers (CAMT). She has been a Keynote speaker at the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers (CAMT) Annual Conference and the Annual Conferences for Peace Education at MacMaster University and the University of Calgary. She is frequently invited to address parents and teachers at other Montessori schools.
Regina's two, now grown up daughters attended a Jewish Montessori School in Mexico. Her two young grandsons love being students at MJDS.

Lilach Golan, B. Ed
Director, Judaic Studies
Lilach, has a rich background in education, with main areas of expertise in Judaic studies, Bible studies and Hebrew language instruction. In addition, she is well versed in the fields of acquisition of reading and writing skills in Hebrew, motor difficulties, learning differences and the connection between development and learning in the early years. Lilach has extensive experience working with children and adults alike, including her own four daughters, the younger of whom are eager students at MJDS.
Lilach received her Teaching Certificate from Hakibbutzim College in Tel Aviv, and her BEd from Oranim in Haifa. She has worked as a teacher of various age groups and subjects, as well as in curriculum development, special event planning, management, and instructing teachers.
