There are many good reasons to have a Parent Association. From the primary purpose of working to enrich our children’s school experience to sharing and networking with other parents the Parent Association provides the structure in which to make it all happen.

We all know that giving enriches both the lives of the recipient and the donor. So whether it’s participating in the planning and implementation of an event, assisting during holiday/chagim celebrations or attending a fund-raising event, any portion of personal involvement enriches our lives. Even more so it enhances our children’s lives.

Some of the initiatives that the Parent Association is responsible for are:

Fund-raising
Yom Ha’atzmaut - Israel's Independence Day celebrations
Teacher Appreciation

…as well as many other amazing endeavours throughout the course of a year!

The MJDS P.A. have given funds for the purchasing of new gym equipment, musical instruments and the creation of a staff washroom. In addition, the Parent Association makes a yearly donation to the school’s bursary fund, allowing children who would not otherwise be able to join us to benefit from our wonderful school.
