Why did you choose MJDS?
I LOVED the idea of the combination of Montessori and Jewish environment. In 2012, I was looking for a toddler program for my eldest daughter. Luckily, MJDS had just launched their Toddler program. It was meant to be!
What do you love most about MJDS?
EVERYTHING! I love the homey feeling and the caring and exceptionally professional staff, as well as the authenticity of the Montessori program and the level of Hebrew and Judaism throughout.
What is one word that best describes the school? Why?
Second home. Our community is close knit and the school feels like one big family.
In what ways have you seen your child/ren grow and develop as a result of their experience at MJDS?
My daughters have been at MJDS since they were 18 months old. Thanks to MJDS, I have watched them grow to be extremely independent, mature, and caring human beings who are excited and enthusiastic about learning!
Describe how a Montessori approach to education helps your child/ren learn
One of the benefits of a Montessori education is the use of specialized hands-on materials, as well as the free movement within the classroom environment, as opposed to a traditional structure.
What would you say to another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at MJDS?
MJDS is the best at what it does. It provides a rich and authentic Montessori education, thanks to both the highly trained staff as well as the variety of hands-on materials available to the students. In addition, MJDS instills Jewish values and encompasses a true Israeli spirit.
